Andrea Bowen is an American actress. She started her acting career on Broadway musicals such as Les Miserables and The Sound of Music. In 2004, she started performing the part of Julie Mayer on the ABC comedy-drama show Desperate Housewives, a role she reprised on a daily from 2004 until the year 2008. Julie Alexandra Mayer, the most senior of the children of Susan Delfino & Karl Mayer. Growing up, Julie was the perfect child for Susan she was frequently viewed as the mother to their romance as she prepared meals, cleaned up and advised her mother on how to date.
